October, and November

We moved into our new house the day before conference weekend and we used some of the boxes as "conference books" for the kids to take notes on.
They loved it!

I love to make a few treats and have good food conference weekend, so the kitchen was the first thing I cleaned and unpacked.
The kids made carmel apple pops.
They were delicious!
We also made real Belgium waffles.
It's a copy-cat waffle love recipe, and a real hit at our house.

When we moved into our house we quickly realized that our queen-sized box spring would not fit up the narrow stairs to our bedroom.
We thought we'd have to buy a king, since those come in two smaller pieces.
I didn't want to spend our money on that when we have a perfectly good bed that we wanted to last till Dave is done with fellowship.
So, while Dave was at the priesthood session, I cut several pieces of the box spring to make it bendable and able to fit up our stairs.
It worked!

We can't put it on a bed frame, but it works well on the floor:

This house has a huge built in mirror at the top of the stairs, and I started using it to write a weekly scripture quote on it for all of us to ponderize.

We took a trip up to Kirtland to do some fun Fall activities.

What could be better than Autumn leaves and a sucker?

I love Ohio in the fall

Our new backyard is beautiful, with lots of space for the kids to run around.

We checked a big item off the list after the move.  Getting library cards.

Park fun!

Our first Sunday in our new ward.
Our whole family if you count Dave's reflection in the window taking our picture.

I love having the kids create things with cardboard boxes:

Every year, since Landon was born we have done family Halloween costumes.  I know this tradition has to come to an end at some point, but we are enjoying it while we can.
It's the one family picture I can count on every year:)

The kids got over 15 pounds of candy:

I am finding these post Halloween candy notes everywhere.
This one is courtesy of Easton.
They love candy, so this is a huge act of love!

Easton came up with a very "creative" way to hide his class's Tom the turkey so he wouldn't get eaten for Thanksgiving dinner.

Both my sisters and their families came to stay with me for Thanks giving and it was a full house.  Loud and fun, just the way we Hills like it.
I absolutely adore my sisters in every way.
I could not have been more grateful this Thanksgiving!

Brittany made her famous cheese ball, which we devoured in one game night:)
The cousins made turkey costumes
Some were happier to be in them than others:)

With so many great cooks under one roof, it was quite the feast:)
The kid "table"
These three boys are about a month apart and triple the cuteness when they are together.

Three girl cousins born within 6 months of each other:
These three models were paid in gold fish:)

We went to see Moana

The wonderful weekend ended in a triple date out to eat and to an escape room.
Some great memories and inside jokes were made!
