Welcome to the world Easton Hill McGarry! 8 pounds, 4 ounces, and 21 inches of perfection. We were so in love!
Landon loved him from the start.
I knew they were going to be good buddies.
Dave and Landon made this cute welcome home sign for Easton and I.
About a week after he was born, was St. Patrick's Day. And we McGarrys love to celebrate our Irish roots. Aunt Anne made sure to send something for Easton to wear, so he could get in on the fun and not get pinched.
Ok...So captain underpants isn't exactly the most "classy" super hero. as a teacher, I despised the poor example of literature in my classroom hanging around my student's desk desks. Certainly not some one you want kids to aspire to.;) So, is it terrible that for the SAA children's super hero activity, I was desperate enough to dress my baby and toddler in red capes, and underwear/diaper outside of their pants, and let them go as captain underpants? I was a new mom, right? I didn't have time or brain space to come up with some elaborate "classy" costume. Also, is it wrong that in my sleep deprived state, I happen to think they are the cutest, funniest, most adorable captain underpants pair I've ever seen?
Landon was a big help with his new brother.
Blessing day!
I have a picture of Landon at this same age wearing the same outfit. They look quite a bit alike.
He was the BEST sleeper!
Easter wore him out.
Easter egg hunt.
Visiting Dave's FUN Aunt and Uncle in Chicago. They were nice enough to take us around to all the best spots.
The train.
There was this fun splash pad in downtown Chicago. This picture doesn't do it justice.
Easton liked it too.
Apark by Dave's Aunt and Uncle's house. Dave's Aunt Michelle is so fun and good with kids. Landon had a great time!
Our little caterpillar that Landon affectionately named, "George" grew up, and turned out to be a really handsome butterfly(Can't believe I am saying that about a butterfly.).
More Easton chubby goodness.
Outing with Dad and the young men at our church to a baseball game.
Landon kept begging to go to school with his Dad. He even begged to take a test.:) So I took advantage of that and started to do an at home pre-school. We did it three days a week. The first day we learned the letter "l", it's sounds, and wrote it out. We also did songs, poems, and science. In science we learned about water as a solid, liquid, and a gas. He called the water he drinks, "liquid water", and ice "solid water". He loved doing the experiments about water, and hypothesizing what would sink and what would float. He LOVED riding to and from school in the school bus I made him. We had a blast!
Landon's love of books melts my heart. I found him asleep like this one day.
Eating was always an adventure...
My family came to visit, and Landon wanted to go home with them in their suitcase.
Aunt Tiffany.
Reading with Dad.
The curling iron was his fire hose.
We made a city out of cars and books and played ALL afternoon.
We are huge BYU fans!
SAA fall field trip fun!
Carving pumpkins with my little pumpkins.
I love to see the temple!
Our prophet, President Thomas S. Monson, once counseled, “as we touch the temple, the temple will touch us.” So, after we attended the temple we decided to take the boys to the temple so they could “touch” the temple. I was amazed at how quiet and reverent they were. I can't wait till they turn 12 so we can go inside as a family!
Landon with his good friend Bryn.
And Kyle.
We decided to go as the, "How To Train Your Dragon" characters for Halloween. I was going to make the boys costumes, but it was cheaper to buy Landon's used, and we already had the purple one. So, I made Dave and my costumes.
Kite flying with Dad.
Aunt Anne sent an AWESOME dinosaur package.
Landon's 2nd birthday. Train themed.
The kids got to pick a box and decorate their train.
They played with trains.
The cake.
Pin the caboose on the train.
More train decorating.
Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Hill's.
Fun with Uncle Jordan,
Grandpa Hill,
and Aunt Tiffy.
Easton's 1st birthday. We are WILD about this little dude!
Cake.
I think it is safe to say he loved his fist taste of sugar. :)
