Back Blogging: Dave's First Year Of Medical School

Shortly after Landon turned one, we moved to Kirksville Missouri for Dave to start medical school.  Here are a few pictures from that first year in Kirksville.  It was hard to move so far away, but we made so many wonderful friends that are like family to us now.  It is a small town in the middle of nowhere with only a Walmart, but has the nicest people.  We have many fond memories of our two years there.

Our Kirksville home sweet home!

Right before we moved to Kirksville we found out we were expecting our 2nd baby.  I bought a bowl from the dollar store and surprised Dave that day with a message at the bottom of his bowl.
This is the announcement we sent to our families.  It says, "We are expanding our home by two feet..."

We are expecting a baby on March 18th, 2011

Dave's white coat ceremony.

One of Landon's favorite things to do was take down all the book from our shelf and read.

BYU jersey from Grandma and Grandpa McGarry.

Dave teasing me by dressing Landon for church one Sunday like a biker.

We loved the FREE family pool in Kirksville.

Landon still loves to talk on the phone with Grandparents.

Bath time!

SAA farm field trip.  So fun!
He picked a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch at the farm and fell IN LOVE.  He took it into the bath, and to bed that night.

I don't like sewing that much, but I do love sewing family costumes once a year.  I start super early(like after Christmas) so that it is fun not stressful, and do little bit at a time when the kids go to bed and Dave is working or studying.  That year I decided to make a lion costume for Landon.  He looked so snuggly in it.
Landon was the lion, and we were the lion tamers.

Cute friends enjoying the fruits of their labors after the trunk-or-treat.

First Thanksgiving in Kirksville, we got together with friends and made pie.

Winter fun!

We went to Utah to visit Dave's family for Christmas and saw the lights on temple square.  They were beautiful!

It was a fun busy year!
