September

September had it's HIGHS

and its LOWS...
(More on this later)

We had our annual back to school drive-in movie with our wonderful neighbors.

There was a concession stand run by the kids.

It is a fun night that we all look forward to.

Last bits of summer fun making soap.  We took dove soap and put it in the microwave.  This is what it did, kind of cool!

Then we took it and molded it into fun shapes to make our own soap bars.

We had back to school dates, where we went with each child to buy school supplies and then did a fun activity afterwards.  Easton was especially excited to pick out a backpack this year!
I felt so lucky to go on a date with this little cutie.

Landon's activity was learning to ride a bike.  I took him over to a nearby school parking lot, and he learned in one afternoon.  I was sooo proud of him.  It was fun to see how happy reaching this milestone made him too.

Landon riding his bike.

Oaklyn went on her first Daddy daughter date.  Dave took her to go feed the ducks, and I don't think I have ever seen her so excited.  She wanted to wear her prettiest dress, and do her hair like a princess.  It was pretty cute!

Dave even came to pick her up at the door.

First day of school:

Pre-K

1st grade

And Mommy school
(The only thing that would console her when she realized two of her best friends would be leaving her)

My three oldest lovelies !

Oaklyn would not let me forget about Mommy school:)
I did it with her two older brothers and I still have the bus that I used for them.  I have a picture just like this of Landon and Easton.  She was excited to ride the bus to school, and even wear a back pack.

We learned some letter sounds and built a tower.  We added a block each time she said the letter sound.  Then we got to knock it down.  We did writing, math, science, poems, songs, stories, etc.
She loved it!
I do Mommy school a few times a week with her, and she really looks forward to the one-on-one time.

Easton has a great teacher and is always so happy to see me each day.  His after school hugs are one of the best parts of my day, and I can count on them like clock work:)
He starts running at the door as fast as he can, and bowls me over with a giant hug.
Life doesn't get any better than that!

Paxton spends most of his time hanging out with Oaklyn and I.
He is in snuggle school!:)

Twin Tuesday! I bought Paxton's shirt 6 years ago when Landon was a baby, and all the boys have worn it. I saw the same shirt for Landon when shopping for back to school clothes and had to get it. Love these two and the special bond they have!

Paxy, is just the most popular person in our home.
Everyone loves to kiss and snuggle this little guy!

His first time in the jumper.

We try to go to the library as often as we can.  I thought it was funny that our stack of books are so heavy that it sets off the seat belt alarm and I have to buckle them in or my van gets mad at me:)

Oaklie is OBSESSED with fairies.
She wears her fairy wings everywhere!

Going to Landon's school to eat lunch with him.  I try to go once a month.
The kids love seeing their big brother in the middle of the day.

Soccer

What Pax man does during soccer.

Oaklyn was invited to a princess party.
It was the cutest thing ever, and she was so excited!

Star Wars party at the library.  The boys wanted to dress up.

We had a mini tragedy happen in our family a few weeks ago. I had picked Landon up from school, and was waiting to turn left at a green light. There were a few cars in front of me, and one in front had turned, so we all inched forward to wait our turn. As I was cruising forward, I could hear the familiar sound of Oaklyn undoing the top buckle of her car seat. I looked back to check, and when I looked forward again; we were inches away from colliding with the car in front of us. I panicked and pressed the gas instead of the brake and although everyone involved was perfectly fine, which I am so grateful for, the damage to my van was severe. It was totaled.
This was a rough week at the McGarry house.

But we did have some cute faces to cheer us up...

Dave brought out his hammock from his mission in Brazil, and put it to good use.  I got to join him on it right after this picture was taken:)

I think this picture, is Easton in a nut shell.  He loves all things boy, and loves to wrestle, and roughhouse.  But he is also so sweet and tender.  He is the first to share, or help someone in our family who needs it.
I love my little super hero!

I'll finish up this post with some pictures of Paxy doodle(one of his many nicknames)

I love to sneek into Paxton's room and watch him sleep.  He looks like a little angel.  This picture was taken right before my camera woke him up, and I had to drop to the floor like a ninja, and get out of the room with out him seeing me, hoping he would go back to sleep.
He didn't:)
