One "water Wednesday" we went to the splash pad! I am glad I got a picture of Oaklyn on the way, because she stayed by me most of the time and didn't try out the water.
The boys did though...
Landon wanted to sell lemonade and cookies, but we live on such a quiet street that I didn't think they would get any traffic, so we took it to the park like true entrepreneurs.:) They took turns playing and taking shifts at the stand, so they got the best of both worlds. They MAY have eaten more than they sold, but they had fun!
Cup tower building on make it Monday:
This girl is finally tall enough to get on the rocking horse herself. She loves this horse with all her heart!
Here she is again with her one shoe on. I love their little uniquenesses, and how they each come with their own personalities. I am always sad when they outgrow saying something in their own little way or move onto a different quirky phase. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who has sent each child to our home to add something we need, and add a new dimension to our home. This girl brings a sweetness that we needed after two boys.
Water Wednesday making colored ice cubes to chase in the bath.
A friend has a boy who had outgrown his train set. She gave it to us, and it has been HOURS of entertainment!
I am having fun doing girl hair!
Unfortunately, it wasn't all fun and games this summer. Easton got poison ivy all over his face. This boy had it BAD...Poor Easton!
We bought a projector at a garage sale for CHEAP, because I have always wanted to have a backyard movie night. So, we invited some friends for a back to school drive-in movie party. Here are the invites:
We had all the kids bring a cardboard box car for a real drive-in movie experience and the boys each wanted something different. So for their special time for a couple of days we worked on their cars. They each got to help me paint their own car and decorate it.
Landon wanted room for his favorite sister in the back:
I didn't take any pictures that night of our backyard, but luckily a friend took this one, and I hope she doesn't mind me using it. We have a window on our back porch that we lined with lights, and the kids helped me make a concession sign. We had a couple of kids "working" handing candy out the window at the free concession. They handed out mini Kit-Kats, cups of popcorn, cute sprinkled cookies a friend brought, and juice boxes. The older kids had fun being in charge of this and handing out free tickets for treats. It was a crazy, fun filled night!
Bring on back to school, and putting my first born in kindergarden...Oh dear!
