Paxton's 3rd Birthday

Paxton  wanted a family party and a doughnut cake for his 3rd birthday:

It was Paxton's first time and he loved it!

Oaklyn's 5th Birthday

Oaklyn is a girly girl and loves to dress up, so we created a runway birthday party for this little fashionista!

We got these barbies from the dollar store and gave the girls some sharpies to put makeup on the dolls and do their hair to give them a makeover.

Each of the girls got to pick out jewelry and got their nails, hair and makeup done.  They also got dressed up.

After showing them a youtube video of a kid's fashion show, they were ready to head down the cat walk:

Easton's 7th Birthday

Finding this outside his door tomorrow morning will either make Easton's birthday or ruin it :)

At a church fundraiser auction we won a birthday party put on by the young women in our ward and they know how to party!  Most dressed up in full star wars costume and had such creative games and so much energy.  The kids loved them!

Dave, AKA Darth Vader, came to steal the cake and was quite a trooper while the kids fought to win it back with their light sabers :)

Easton requested real Belgian waffles like the ones from "waffle love" for his birthday.

Easton is obsessed with BYU and Aunt Anne gave him the coolest BYU birthday package ever!

He was thrilled!

Goldfish funeral at dusk

I sent the kids off to school crying because they woke up to their beloved "Goldie" floating at the top of the vase she lived in.  We were at the park last summer when a nearby fair was taking down their equipment and a young carnival worker brought my kids over a golfish in a water bottle.  It was love at first sight, and that's how I wound up bringing home a pet I never wanted.  We put her in a vase with water because I didn't think she'd live longer than a week, and we made an emergency run to the store for goldfish food.  She lasted 6 months and the kids were attached so I couldn't convince them to let me flush her down the toilet.  We had a full fledge funeral complete with eulogies.  Kinder words were never spoken about a goldfish.  I was not a fan of this fish but I love these kids!

A friend of mine from church invited us to do some pottery at her house and it pretty much made Oaklyn's year.

I can't even count how many love notes my older boys bring home during the school year.  

Elementary school girls are aggressive in the love department!  My boys just tell the girls that they are too young for that stuff and they will be friends instead.

It was built by Dave's Grandparents and it still has a little shack in the back that they lived in while they were building this house.
